Eucalytpus Pauciflora leaves with morning dew

Eucalyptus pauciflora

There is something magical about Eucalyptus pauciflora, or commonly known as Snow Gum or White Sally. Is it the grace of the glossy bluish-green pendulous leaves or the reddish petioles that capture the morning light that I find so glorious, or a combination of both?

Our recent spring planting of Snow Gums on our land in the Central Tablelands (near Bathurst) is flourishing with the rain this season – hopefully this is an omen of things to come. Smooth creamy white, light gray bark shedding in strips and twisted branches adorned with perfumed flowers in spring and summer. Time will tell.
